Strawberry Steak Sauce

2 lbs Strawberries with the green removed and chopped
1 cup white onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, chopped
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 cup balsamic vinegar
½ cup honey
3 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
½ cup fresh Basil, chopped
Salt, pepper and Tabasco to taste

In a large sauce pot set over medium high heat, cook the onions and garlic until translucent. Add the Strawberries, vinegar, honey and Dijon mustard and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until thick. Add the basil and either in a blender or with an immersion blender, purée the sauce until smooth.
